Mapacho Craft Beer & Peruvian Cuisine in Aguas Calientes

Good service. Had pizza, was okay, nothing special. Mixed dessert was nice. Quite expensive, would recommend to look for other places.

Delicious food and drinks and the nicest staff and owner. I wish I was in Cusco longer so I could go back! Much love to the Mapacho family .

Wonderful food, great beer and beautiful views of the river. Great service. We had Roy as our waiter. Cannot ask for better. Speaks good English and knows a great deal about everything on the menu. What is more, he gave us lots of useful and interesting information on local history and culture. Greatly appreciated. Wil definitely return.

This is easily the greatest place to eat I. Aguas Calientes. Our server, Giovanni, was knowledgeable about the food and provided excellent service. The quality of food is superb, I’d recommend it without a doubt!

A place of good food and good atmosphere. Also, it was the only place in the town to have good tap beers. Our server Roy was excellent and kindly shared insigts on Peruvian cuisine and culture. Sometimes it's the food, sometimes it's people who make you want to come back :)

Carlos (Carlito) was a great server, helped us out with some questions we had about the local train station, etc. The craft beer was very good, and the food was exceptional (Alpaca burger, trout tartar). Very nice view of the river from the tables at the back of the restaurant. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Easily the best place to eat in Aguas Calientes. We tried other restaurants, but would always gravitate back to this place. The service is amazing and they are very accommodating. I asked if I could have a tasting flight of pisco and they created one that wasn't on the menu for the price of just one pisco shot.

Balcony overlooks the raging river. We were traveling on a group "fixed prix" menu with limited selection, but the items were varied and excellent. The staff even accommodated a request for cuy that was not on the menu. Excellent craft beer choices for no more than about $6US.

Firstly what a great view from the restaurant. Our waiter, Giovanni was delightful and looked after us all.I would recommend the grilled chicken and chaufa rice. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Good beers, food ok. I asked to replace bacon by an egg in a burger and they charged me 6 soles without telling me. Host asked us TWICE FOR TIPS! Once when we requested the check and second time when bringing us back the change...! Still can't believe it... Oh and then he looked in front of us if we left anything...!

Came here after reading the overwhelming positive reviews on TripAdvisor. This place definitely lives up to the great reviews. We got seated right away and the waiter was very kind and was honest about trying the Alpaca. The Maracuyá soda was excellent and as well as the filled chicken.

No better in town. Stunning view of Urubamba river, really good beers and food. It is not a tourist trap. Good wifi and TV sports.

Amazing place, lovely ambiance! It has a very homey soft Peruvian style. It’s a gourmet Peruvian restaurant, amazing flavors. Located over the river, it has one of the best views of the town.

Amazing views AND delicious food at a very reasonable price. Call ahead if you want a killer view overlooking the mountains and river. This place truly has it all, tasty food with lots of options (Peruvian, American, etc.), stunning views, AND amazing service. Roy was so attentive and kind, plus he spoke perfect English and Spanish. I can not recommend this place enough!

Very nice place with incredible views of the river. The food and service were very good. Restaurant is conveniently located just across from the train station. We enjoyed a few hours here with drinks and food before catching our train!

Good beer selection and great staff. Our server (I think I heard his name was Carlos) seemed to be doing 10 jobs at once but was still very professional and attentive to our table. Food had large portions and we're delicious.

Absolutely the best dinner in Perù. It exceeded expectationaHighly recommended:-stuffed chicken breast with mushrooms and vegetables- beef tenderloin centerMeat was fresh, perfectly cooked and vegetables and sauce tasty and also fresh. The staff was unbelievable! Not only did they speak multiple languages, they checked in on us often and helped entertain the children. The food was amazing, in true Peruvian fashion. There was a little bit of everything on the menu, including vegetarian options. The beer was diverse, offering saisons, wheats, IPAs and more.

Try this place whilst waiting for our train back to Cusco. Food is good bearing in mind this area is quite expensive. We had trucha a la parrilla and milanesa con tallarines al pesto. Try the Andean cola, really refreshing! Service was also good!

Came with a group for lunch after doing the Inca Trail. The place itself is very nice and there is lots of choice of different beers, including Pale Ale and IPA on draft, however the quality of the draught beer itself was questionable (lines need to be cleaned better) so you maybe better sticking to bottles.Service was slow - taking up to 20 minutes and a number of reminders to actually get a drink after ordering!The meals were both of good quality and quantity but were not cheap.Overall a very good experience in the circumstances of how remote it is.

We have just had a fantastic lunch at Mapacho restaurant! Delicious cheesy gnocchi and a tasty perfectly cooked burger with fries. Amazing service from our waiter Giovanni who was friendly and helpful. Very quick service but without scrimping on the quality of food. And the selection of craft beers is astounding! Both choices my partner made were fantastic and the house cocktail I had was brilliant too. After 4 days of hiking this place has been a real treat to find! I would 100% recommend and be sure to say hello to Giovanni too.

The food here was great and so was the price. Definitely recommend coming here and getting the Beef stew and rainbow trout, they are a can't miss. Also our server Roger picked the best drinks for the table and he was friendly and patient.

Absolutely fantastic! I ate here twice during my time in Aguas Calientes because I had no desire to try anything else after my first meal here. Its just perfection. The service is wonderful, the portions are large, and the food is cooked extremely well. There's a reason this is the top rated restaurant in town. Come here. You wont regret it!

We attended this place due to the amount of good reviews, and I have to say it exceeded the expectations. We were kindly served from Mijael, whom was helpful friendly and fast. The food was outstanding. We went for the 'medallon de lomo' and the 'filled chicken brest'. The first was cooked at the perfect point; the meet was tender and fresh as well as the vegetables. The latter was incredible as well, not to speak about the presentation. Highly recommended!!

Good local beer; two outlets in town. Quinoa burgers tasty. Staff friendly. Beware they are offering a 10% discount on website but did not honour it. Said it was”the other outlet”

Last night we had dinner here and it was one of the best meals we've had in Peru yet. We ordered the lomo saltados beef and the meat was so tender, cooked perfectly and the flavours were outstanding. Roy was our server and he was amazing, excellent suggestions perfect English. Took note of my allergies and was engaging and full of suggestions. I highly recommend this place for a dinner or lunch while you're here

We haven't tried all the restaurant in Machu Picchu, but definitely the best one. Food is delicious, like really. The ambiance is cozy with the view of the river and the rustic decoration.It's a must for sure. We came back after our first visit, food too good.

Pretty good, but watch out for short measures with the beer pours. Nice views if you can snag a riverside table. Bathroom are in line with country standard and a bit dire.

We didn't try any beers but the food was great. Giovanni was very fun and helpful. Seemed like a very fair value. Amazing views! Great place after a long hike.If that had been it this would be a fine star review. However when we asked for the bill, our waiter asked us to give them a five star review and then hovered over us giving us the wi-fi password and making sure we wrote a review. He even wrote down his name so we could mention him in the review. Only after all this was done did he get our tab and let us leave.I wonder if that's why so many names are mentioned in reviews for this place.

Good restaurant, food was more than decent. While it might be more expensive than the average restaurant in Peru, in Agua Calientes prices simply are different and the food made it well worth it. Loved the variety in beers as well. And maybe the most important, great personnel, shout-out to Alfred. You can't really go wrong with this restaurant.
